E4 stingers!!

For this brief, I was told to create an ident for the channel E4. These idents are used to during commercial breaks between programs. These are some of the few videos that other people have created for the competitions which E4 has set.



This to me is amazing. 'Bounce' is all hand-drawn frame by frame, and there's over two hundred of them. I just love the fluidity of the movement of the character as it bounces up and down. I'll be honest, traditional 2D animation is my favourite method of creating an animation.



'The Cow' is rather disturbing when you think about it, but it's rather funny. The reason as to why I like this one is for the branding part at the end. Compared to the rest of the style, the actual burning has a more realistic look. I was thinking of doing a similar burning brand scenario for my own ident but it involves aliens... hmm



I love this one. 'Purple Monster' is so simply done, there's no detail at all and it moves as though its been done by the cut-out style (like South Park for instance). I really like the ending where you can see inside his stomach; the skull, muffin and squiggly lil' worm are such a cute addition!




There's four scenarios on how this poor character is killed by the E4 logo, then it shows him in heaven with all these cut little E4 logos with wings. The scenario that holds a bigger interest to me is when the poor bugger gets electrocuted! It gives me an idea for what I could do for my own.... Plus I love the way its been done, blackened skeleton with bright zig-zagged sparks! Nice one!
