Getting a move on

Using Preston Blair's walk cycles as a guide in the background, I begin to animate my robot model! By moving one limb at a time an then selecting the key frame button to record the movement, he's slowly but surely coming along.

Finished structure

Here he is! The robot has finally been built and is completed. I'm so relieved that he's completed. And I gotta say he does look rather simplistic but he'll do. Now I got to make him move!

Robo' coloured

I thought that I might as well colour him up. No good if he just stays that same boring grey. Here he's flashy yellow and red. Take a guess who inspired me.
Yup Iron Man. Went to see the second Iron Man film and thought it'll be an interesting coloure combo. To colour him I just simply selected new materials and changed the dial on the colour bars in the settings window. Simples.

Something of mine

Did this for my previous course. The project was about games design and such and my idea was a zombie investation on an oil rig. Sounded like a good idea at the time. But this is one of the concept pieces I did for it. Had a lot of fun doing it, even though I had managed to freak myself out a few times.

Coming along nicely

Title speaks for its self. This, I have to say is a much easier method for me to use on Cinema 4D.

Change of plans

It was proving a little difficult to continue with my previous model, since I've been have a few...problems. So it has been decided that I'll create a new character to built up in segments with individual shapes. This will also enable me to animate this guy pose to pose in Cinema 4D instead of rigging the entire frame.

Foot error

This had originally been the beginnings of Monkey Boy's foot but the shape of it was all wrong. I hadn't gotten the structure of his foot the right height so when I clicked the hyperNERBS on it was flat, like a compressed heart. Also its missing a toe.
One of the many mistakes with this model.
